Terms of Service

Effective October 20, 2026 (updated October 20, 2026: multi-client license)

These terms cover your use of the Darnell Labs website, the free ReadyCheck tool, and digital products sold by Darnell Labs ("we", "us"). By using the site or buying a product, you agree to them.

ReadyCheck (free tool)

• ReadyCheck reads public DNS records and loads a domain's homepage once — the same information any email server or website visitor can see. It does not log in to, probe, or attack any system.
• Please use it for domains you own or manage, or have a legitimate reason to review.
• Don't use automated scripts to send large numbers of requests. We rate-limit use and may block abuse.
• Results are a snapshot of publicly visible settings at the time of the check. They may be incomplete — for example, an email signing key on an unusual name may not be found.

Digital products

• Products are sold and delivered through Gumroad, which processes your payment. Gumroad's own terms also apply to the purchase.
• A standard purchase gives you a license to use and adapt the templates within one organization (your business and its staff). You may not resell, redistribute, or publish the templates, in original or modified form, as your own product.
• The multi-client license lets an IT provider, MSP, consultant or insurance professional use and adapt the templates for any number of their own clients, and deliver customized copies to those clients as part of their services. It does not allow reselling or redistributing the templates as a standalone product, or publishing them.
• Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Not legal, insurance or professional advice

Our tools and templates are general information to help you prepare. They are not legal, insurance, or professional security advice, and they do not guarantee that you will qualify for insurance, receive any particular premium, or have a claim paid. Always answer insurance applications truthfully, and consult your insurer, broker, or a qualified advisor for decisions about your business.

No warranty

The website, ReadyCheck and our products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that following our guidance will prevent every security incident.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Darnell Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, ReadyCheck, or our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product involved, or $50 if you paid nothing.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
